Sponsorship announcement: "Telephone and Smartphone Safety Seminar" Matsuzaki Town and Nishiizu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture

The Telephone Service Certification Organization (ETOC) sponsored the "Telephone and Smartphone Safety and Security Course" held on Friday, October 10, 2025, for residents of Matsuzaki Town and Nishiizu Town in Shizuoka Prefecture.

The first part of the seminar was aimed at seniors (65 years and older) and focused on the theme of "Phone Security: Telephone Crime Prevention," and was taught by JUSA's Koji Yasukawa (Director of the Telephone Center). He introduced the latest examples of nuisance calls and special fraud, and provided easy-to-understand explanations of specific methods for preventing victimization and everyday precautions.

The second part of the event was held for elementary and junior high school students and their parents, with the theme "Smartphone and Internet Safety Class: Preventing Smartphone Troubles." Kazuhiro Kitamura, chairman of the JAIPA Mobile Division, served as the lecturer, and parents and children had the opportunity to think together about examples of SNS troubles and rules for using smartphones.
