First screening application begins (main application)

The Telephone Operator Certification Organization (ETOC) has begun accepting applications for examinations. ETOC was established on October 1, 2024, with the aim of promoting the sound development of Japan's telephone market. This marks the first time that ETOC has conducted certification of operators, which is its main business.

In conjunction with this, materials related to the ETOC review have also been updated and made public.

■Deadline for the first round of judging

Application deadline: December 29, 2024

Payment deadline: January 6, 2025

■ Application process

1. Applicant: Apply using this form (by December 29, 2024)

2. ETOC: An invoice for the review fee will be sent via email (aiming to be sent within two business days of receiving the application)

3. Applicant: Pay the screening fee to ETOC (payment must be made by January 6, 2025)

4. ETOC: After confirming payment, we will send the application form for review and conduct the review.

5. ETOC: Publication and notification of examination results (early February)

■ Limitation on the number of applications reviewed (special measures for the first review)

1. The number of items reviewed in the first round will be limited to around 100 to prevent administrative confusion.

2. Applicants who apply in advance are guaranteed an examination (actual examination and payment of fees are still required).

3. Applicants who do not apply in advance will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis within available slots. Please note that there is a chance that your application may not be reviewed.

4. If you do not receive an invoice from the secretariat within two business days of submitting your application, please contact the secretariat.
